PDF documents are now supported by the ISO 32000 standard and can be accessed by the full spectrum of PCs available on the market. They also owe their success to their format, which enables document usage continuity, thus reducing the need for paper documents.

KEYNECTIS and ADOBE INC. have forged a technological and commercial partnership to offer K.Sign® for PDF. Thanks to this solution, you can inscribe digital signatures on PDF documents while guaranteeing the same legal validity and ease of use as a signed paper document.

K.Sign® for PDF by KEYNECTIS is a customer desktop solution allowing a population of users to include digital signature mechanisms in their business processes.

K.Sign® for PDF is compatible with the strictest regulatory environments, including FDA / CFR21 part 11, BALE II / IFRS, EU Directive 1999/93/EC.

K.Sign® for PDF ensures the provision of certificates on hardware devices in compliance with the KEYNECTIS CDS CA Certificate Policy.

K.Sign® for PDF can be used with Acrobat Professional, or a simple Adobe® Reader® combined with a PDF file including “Reader extension” rights. It is provided as a fleet of PIN code-protected personal USB cryptographic tokens. K.Sign® for PDF allows users to secure PDF documents by inscribing the holder’s signature and calling on trusted KEYNECTIS services. KEYNECTIS provides the OCSP certificate validity and the timestamp tokens to guarantee the signature’s probative value.

At the end of the process, the document contains a chronological record of all notes and signatures. The signed and certified PDF document can then be viewed, downloaded and sent by the recipient without loss of certification.
