The goal of the SSL dynamic seal is to reassure the Internet website users which results in an increase of the conversion rates.
Unlike a simple logo, which has no value, when you click on a dynamic seal, a window opens to display information about site the security plus guidance on how to safely browse the Internet.
The window that opens is a secured window with an Extended Validation SSL certificate (with the green bar) which belongs to the Certificate Authority providing the SSL certificate. The address is as https://securedbyseal.keynectis.com/xxxxx. A query called Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) is done in real time to ensure that the certificate has not been revoked.
The displayed information is explicit and didactic. They are those of the digital certificate of the website.

Encrypted connection and verification of the domain name. The domain belongs to the organization. (This level includes SSL Silver)
Encrypted connection and verification of the domain name and organization. The domain belongs to the organization. The legal existence of the organization has been verified. (This level includes SSL Gold SSL and RGS).
Encrypted connection and extended verification of the domain name and organization. The domain belongs to the organization. The legal, physical and operational existence of the organization and of its representatives has been checked.
If the page is not https, the exchange of information is not secured and the site is not authenticated. If the seal is still displayed on the site and clicked by the user a message recommends switching to https. Note that only Keynectis offers so far this innovation. Other Certification Authorities display the information as if the connection was secured, which is misleading.
